Montpelier, VT – Today, the Vermont Secretary of State officially accepted Rep. Kesha Ram’s 2016 Election Nominating Petition to run for the office of Lieutenant Governor. Ram’s petition contains signatures from over a thousand Vermonters in each of Vermont’s 14 counties.
“I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of support our campaign has received since we kicked off in the fall,” said Kesha Ram. “Along with an eight-year track record of building consensus with conviction in the Vermont Legislature, my past work as a Head Start advocate, domestic violence social worker, and community advocate have made it clear to me that Vermonters want a people’s advocate who will listen and lead. As your next Lieutenant Governor, I will seek to be a connector-in-chief, making sure all Vermonters have a seat at the table to build a brighter future for our state.”
Ram is running to build a progressive opportunity agenda that supports investment and innovation to help Vermont’s next generation thrive through access to quality child care, affordable higher education, pathways to homeownership, and high-speed broadband internet connectivity.
